We are currently seeking a Core Banking Technical Analyst to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).

Title of role: Core Banking Technical Analyst

The Technical Analyst will assist in design review and delivery of a coherent architecture and technology roadmap to support large scale projects as part of strategic and transformation roadmap for Core banking implementation deliveries.

The role involves working with Management, Business, change management and IT Partners on phases of the software development lifecycle including Requirements Analysis and Solution Design using existing technology platforms.

As a Technical Analyst, the expectation would be to:

• Understand Core banking landscape of the Bank.

• Lead the design of the functional and technical solution components, as an input for development, testing and maintenance of the applications and IT services ensuring they align with the overall IT strategy and roadmap

• Provide guidance to the bank’s IT partner teams and answer questions in relation to the proposed solutions.

• Provide oversight and assurance on solutions delivered by IT partners and validate business specifications of these solutions.

• Act as second- and third-line support by defining appropriate solution(s) with the IT partners and communicating these to the business.

• Conduct IT Impact assessments, including consideration of the implications of the required application changes on the wider IT ecosystem.

• Collaborate with business and IT colleagues to create solutions that exceed our customers’ expectations.

At a minimum, you will:

• Be an experienced IT professional with 7+ years, a proven track record in core banking and delivery of IT enabled change and with a degree or higher in a technology-related discipline preferred.

• Should have experience of at least one Core banking system (preferably Transact).

• Be expert in the use of Web based technologies and Agile /Waterfall project management methodologies.

• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Be focussed on quality and have a track record of delivering process improvements.

As part of the selection process, you must demonstrate proficiency in the following competencies:

The duties assigned to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) as per the RBI guidelines include the following key responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Awareness: Inform the board and senior management of relevant regulations, rules, standards, and any developments in compliance matters.

2. Clarification on Compliance Issues: Provide clarification and guidance on compliance-related questions and challenges.

3. Compliance Risk Assessment: Conduct an annual assessment of compliance risks and develop a risk-orientated activity plan for compliance assessment. This plan must be submitted to the Audit Committee of the Board (Bank) for approval.

4. Reporting Changes: Promptly report any major changes or observations related to compliance risk to the board, bank, or MD and CEO.

5. Monitoring Compliance Failures: Periodically report on compliance failures or breaches to the board and bank, and circulate this information to relevant functional heads.

6. Compliance Testing: Monitor and periodically test compliance through sufficient and representative compliance testing, with results reported to the board, bank, and MD and CEO.

7. Sustaining Compliance: Examine the sustainability of compliance as part of compliance testing and the annual compliance assessment exercise.

8. Addressing Supervisory Observations: Ensure compliance with supervisory observations made by the RBI and other directives in a timely and sustainable manner.

The eligibility criteria for the appointment of the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), as specified by the RBI, are as follows:

1. Rank: The CCO should be a senior executive of the bank, preferably at the rank of general manager or an equivalent position, and not below two levels from the CEO. The CCO can also be recruited from the market.

2. Age: The candidate must not be more than 55 years old.

3. Experience: The CCO should have a minimum of 15 years of overall experience in banking, with at least 5 years specifically in audit, finance, compliance, legal, or risk management functions.

4. Skills: The CCO must possess a good understanding of industry practices and risk management, as well as knowledge of relevant regulations and legal frameworks. They should also be sensitive to the expectations of supervisors.

5. Stature: The CCO should have the ability to exercise independent judgement and possess the authority to interact directly with regulators and supervisors to ensure compliance.

6. Other Requirements: The candidate must not have any pending vigilance cases or adverse observations from the RBI.
