Chief Compliance Officer
Looking for candidates with:
Proven leadership experience in Compliance Department - Minimum 10 years experience in the
BFSI sector.
An understanding of the regulatory landscape, Banking industry knowledge and the ability to assess
risks, solve problems, interpret data and communicate effectively.
Responsibilities include:
- Heading the Compliance function in the Bank.
Assisting the Board and the Senior Management in overseeing the implementation of the Compliance
Policy including policies and procedures, prescriptions and the internal codes of conduct.
Playing the pivotal role in identifying the level of Compliance Risk in the Bank.
Monitoring and testing compliance by performing sufficient and representative Compliance testing.
Ensuring compliance of regulatory/supervisory directions given by RBI in a time bound and sustainable
manner.
Designing, implementing and monitoring the process by which the Bank will comply with all applicable
laws and regulations.
Creating sound internal controls and monitoring adherence.
Attending to compliance with directions from other regulators in cases where the activities of the Bank
are not limited to the regulation / supervision of RBI.
Being a nodal point of contact between the Bank and the Regulators / Supervisors.
Serving as a reference point for the staff from operational departments for seeking clarifications /
interpretations of various regulatory and statutory guidelines.
Remaining updated on Regulatory guidelines, and ensuring timely compliance.
Revising the Bank’s Compliance Policy.
Suggesting improvements in process with the goal of automation and seamless operations.
Setting plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation.
Reporting Compliance matters to the Board.
Qualification
Essential: Postgraduate Degree in Statistics / Finance / Risk Management
Desirable: IIBF certification in Risk / Compliance / Treasury and CAIIB
Age: Below 48 years
Designation and Compensation:
- Designation and Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications & relevant experience.
