About the Role

Valkyrie People Consulting is supporting a leading automotive client in their search for a transformative Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead the people strategy for their fast-growing and innovation-driven business. Based in Pune, this is a pivotal leadership role for a dynamic HR professional who brings a mix of strategic vision, operational excellence, and deep experience in managing complex, multi-plant HR ecosystems within the automotive or manufacturing domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end HR function, aligning people strategy with the company’s growth, transformation, and innovation agenda

• Drive talent acquisition, workforce planning, leadership development, and succession strategies across corporate and plant locations

• Oversee employee relations, industrial relations, and compliance across manufacturing sites

• Champion culture transformation, employee engagement, and change management initiatives

• Develop forward-looking compensation, benefits, and performance management frameworks

• Leverage HR analytics, digital tools, and industry benchmarks to drive data-led decision making

• Partner with the Board and senior leadership on strategic workforce issues, organizational design, and DEI strategy

• Build strong leadership pipelines and foster a high-performance, inclusive culture across functions and geographies

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 18+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a CHRO/Head of HR role in the automotive or core manufacturing sector

• Strong understanding of plant HR, industrial relations, and multi-location workforce dynamics

• Proven experience leading HR through phases of scale, transformation, or modernization

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills, with a business-first HR mindset

• MBA/PGDM in HR from a reputed institution preferred
