Job Description
• Set up the kitchenwith cooking utensils and equipment, like knives , pans, andkitchen scales.
• Study each recipe and gatherall necessary ingredients.
• Cook food in atimely manner.
• Delegate tasks to kitchenstaff.
• Inform wait staff about dailyspecials.
• Ensure appealing platepresentation.
• Supervise Cooks and assist asneeded.
• Slightly modify recipes to meetcustomers' needs and request (e.g., reduce salt, removedairy).
• Monitory food stock and placeorders.
• Check freshness of food and discard out- of - date items .
• Experiment with recipes andsuggest new ingredients.
• Ensure compliance withall health and safety regulations within the kitchenarea.
Requirementsand Skills :
• Provenwork experience as a Chef or Cook.
• Hands onexperience with various kitchenequipment.
• LeadershipSkills.
• Ability to remain calm and undertakevarious tasks.
• Excellent time managementabilities.
• Up-to-date knowledge of cookingtechniques and recipes.
• Familiarity withsanitation regulations.
