Reports to: CEO

Leads: Consumer Lending, Real Estate Lending, Business Lending, Commercial Real Estate, Loan Operations, Loss Mitigation & Collections

We’re seeking a visionary and transformation-minded Chief Lending Officer (CLO) to lead our full lending enterprise—from consumer to commercial, real estate to business, and everything in between. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our lending strategy, driving growth and innovation, and ensuring credit quality and regulatory excellence.

As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CLO will chair the Credit Committee, oversee strategic planning and budgeting for the Lending Division, and champion modernization across all lending operations. What You’ll Do

Strategic Lending Leadership

‒ Develop and execute a multi-channel lending strategy aligned with organizational growth and member value.

‒ Expand product offerings and diversify portfolios across consumer, real estate, and business segments.

‒ Collaborate with the CEO and executive leadership on enterprise strategy and long-term planning.

Credit Governance & Risk Oversight

‒ Chair the internal Credit Committee; set standards for credit policy, governance, and decisioning authority.

‒ Manage credit risk across all portfolios, driving sound underwriting and proactive mitigation strategies.

‒ Serve as the key liaison for regulators and auditors on lending matters.

Budget & Planning Ownership

‒ Lead Lending Division’s strategic planning, budget, and performance forecasting

‒ Optimize resource allocation for growth initiatives, technology investments, and team development.

‒ Report lending performance and strategic outlook to executive leadership and the Board.

Lending Operations & Innovation

‒ Oversee the full lending lifecycle, ensuring efficiency and an exceptional member experience.

‒ Modernize systems through automation, data analytics, and digital lending tools.

‒ Lead product innovation across fintech partnerships, indirect lending, agent loans, and business banking.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

‒ Lead and mentor a cross-functional team across all lending functions.

‒ Foster a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

‒ Invest in training and career development to build future lending leaders.

What You'll Bring

‒ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; or a combination of education and equivalent professional experience

‒ 10+ years of progressive leadership in lending across multiple asset classes and delivery channels

‒ Proven success in driving growth, managing credit risk, and leading operational transformation

‒ Deep expertise in credit policy, loan servicing, underwriting, collections, and systems

‒ Experience working in regulated financial environments (NCUA/banking)

‒ Strong communication, analytical, and change leadership skills
