Chief Manager- Legal
What are we looking for?
- Proficiency in legal drafting, reviewing and negotiating skills.
- Has experience working as an in-house counsel of a Company in the Corporate Legal department.
- Maintains positive and collaborative work environment.
- Exhibits flexibility at work as and when work demands.
- People who have only litigation background need not apply.
What does the job entail?
- To conduct research on various aspects of law including the newly enacted Digital Personal Data Protection Act, Insurance Act, Indian/ Maharashtra Stamp Act, MWPA etc.
- To create templates in order to standardize processes.
- To review investment related agreements such as ISDA, Contribution Agreements, PPM, Shareholders Agreement, Debenture Trust Deed etc.
- To review policy documents for consistency/ completeness and ensure compliance with IRDAI guidelines.
- To opine on Trust related matters as per Indian Trusts Act.
- To assist team members in negotiations and closure of agreements.
- To create training content in order to enable knowledge transfer.
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, standardizing and closing of all types of business agreements including Service Agreement, MOU, LOI, Power of Attorney, NDA, Indemnities, Leave and Licenses agreements etc.
- Rendering legal opinions.
- Pre-empting legal action and suggesting the appropriate recourse.
- Liaison with internal departments of company and its group companies.
- Conduct benchmarking of contracts and insurance policy against best practice within relevant market, geography and industry.
- Process all agreements for execution, ensuring that the appropriate departments are briefed.
- Manage end to end negotiation for existing and new clients.
- Perform in-depth review of contracts and comments from outside parties.
- Prepare/format and finalize contracts for execution.
- Monitor contracts for compliance with government, company and department policies.
- To create reports by collating information and preparing the initial draft as and when required.
Education :
- LLB
