Chief Risk Officer (CRO)
Grade: AGM / DGM
About the role:
- This is a senior leadership role. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to oversee and manage the Risk Management function of our Bank. As the Chief Risk Officer, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks by maintaining an effective program that ensures the bank is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as per Reserve Bank of India (RBI circulars.
- He/ she should have a well proven strong track record of success in a similar role. Experience of working in a Co-Operative Bank/ Small Finance Bank (SFB) would be an added advantage.
Education, experience and certification requirements:
1. Post Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
2. Professional certification in risk management, or a related field is preferred.
3. At least 15 years of experience in a risk management, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role.
4. Extensive knowledge of risk management practices and methodologies, as well as regulatory requirements in banking sector.
5. In-depth knowledge of the banking industry and relevant laws and regulations, including the RBI circulars.
Age: Below 45 Years
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing risk management strategies and policies for the bank.
- Conducting risk assessments and identifying potential risks across all business product and functional verticals.
- Developing and maintaining a risk management framework that aligns with the bank's strategic goals.
- Establishing risk appetite limits and ensuring that the bank operates within these acceptable limits.
- Overseeing the development and maintenance of the bank's risk models and stress testing methodologies.
- Collaborating with other senior executives to ensure that the bank's risk management practices are integrated and woven into its overall business strategy.
- Communicating with the board of directors and senior management on risk-related issues - providing regular reports to senior management and the Board of Directors on the bank's risk management program, including the results of risk assessments interventions.
- Collaborating with other departments within the bank, such as Compliance Management, Legal, and Audit, to ensure that risk management considerations are well integrated into the bank's overall risk management framework.
- Assisting the Board and the Senior Management in overseeing the implementation of Risk Management Policy including policies and procedures, prescriptions in Procedure Manuals, internal codes of conduct etc.
