Responsibilities
The Chief Steward is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of the restaurant’s kitchen and dining areas
This role ensures that all kitchen equipment and utensils are properly maintained, while also managing the dishwashing and stewarding team
Lead and train the stewarding team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety standards
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas, following all local health regulations
Oversee inventory control of kitchen supplies, cleaning materials, and utensils, placing orders as necessary
Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment, coordinating repairs and replacements when needed
Implement effective waste disposal and recycling practices, promoting sustainability within the restaurant
Work closely with the culinary team to ensure all kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently
Conduct training sessions for new stewards on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and proper use of equipment
Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, inventory levels, and any maintenance issues, reporting to management as needed

SUMMARY:
