We are seeking an accomplished and driven individual to assume responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a store in Kolkata, India. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, leading a dynamic team, and contributing to the strategic growth of the store.

The Store Manager will be accountable for ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, managing stock levels, orders, and stocktakes efficiently, and executing and managing store merchandising to attract customers. Additionally, the role involves maintaining security controls for cash, keys, alarms, and stock, as well as handling customer inquiries and resolving complaints professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase products: Negotiate deals with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and product offerings.

• Ensure compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.

• Deliver outstanding customer service: Enhance the shopping experience through exceptional service delivery.

• Lead, train, and motivate a team: Foster a dynamic work environment that encourages collaboration and drives store goals.

• Manage stock levels, orders, and stocktakes: Ensure seamless inventory management and control.

• Strategically plan for business growth and development: Identify opportunities for expansion and implement effective strategies.

• Oversee daily cash reconciliations, petty cash management, and banking processes: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure efficient banking procedures.

• Execute and manage store merchandising: Develop visually appealing displays and promotions to drive customer engagement.

• Enforce company policies and procedures among staff: Promote a culture of compliance and adherence to company standards.

• Maintain security controls: Safeguard cash, keys, alarms, and stock to prevent loss or theft.

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally: Provide empathetic and effective resolution to customer concerns.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food retail: Essential for success in this role.

• Physically fit: Must be able to meet the demands of the position.

• Strong written and spoken English skills: Effective communication is crucial for this position.
