Description:
The Chief Technology Office role at Anchanto is an executive leadership role managing all technology-related functions at Anchanto. The suitable candidate must have at least 15 years of hands-on leadership experience in the B2B Enterprise SaaS domain with a proven track record of delivering various technology platforms and products to Fortune 500 and mid-market companies.
Purpose of this role:
Anchanto team and platform adoption are growing across the target market segments, our engineering team is now 180+ members strong, and we plan to hire more engineering talent in the next 12 months. This newly created role (earlier played by the Co-founding team member) will provide leadership, direction, and hands-on execution capability to our young, talented engineering teams based in Pune, India.
Responsibilities :
• Understand Anchanto's strategic direction, product roadmap, three-year rolling plan, current technology stack, limitations, and opportunities to create and execute Anchanto technology vision and roadmap. Lead entire technology and product engineering activities at Anchanto.
• Provide strong leadership and decision-making to Engineering Managers, Architects, Team Leads, and QA Directors on all design, development, release, and rollout-related topics.
• Lead platform and new products key activities such as - architecture design, technology stack selection, prototyping, non-functional requirements baselining, and simulation with a team of product Architects and Engineering Managers. You will have the hands-on expertise to value add and set direction with Architecture teams.
• Hire, train, groom, retain, and attract the best available technology talent at Anchanto through various plans and initiatives in partnership with the talent management and HR team members. Execute a range of events such as - hackathons, industry events participation, Anchanto Tech Day to position and establish Anchanto as a leading tech company in the region.
• Identify, define, launch, run, and own initiatives to scale existing and new platforms to an ever-growing customer base and high transaction/data volumes across the geographies.
• Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Customer Care, Customer Success, Product Management, Finance, Platform Delivery, Strategy teams, and business units heads / CxOs to align - product technology, quality, delivery, and team capacity with an overall quarterly business plan and business standing.
• Actively identify technology capabilities to be built, form small crack teams to address specific product/technology bottlenecks or innovation opportunities to build competitive advantage.
• Overall own Technology budget (headcount, tools, hiring, AWS infrastructure, subscriptions, consulting, etc.) and work closely with key suppliers to keep costs within budget / within industry-standard thresholds.
• Build a strong industry connection with the Ecommerce ecosystem partners (marketplaces, website builders, logistics platforms, Data analytics services providers, ERP leaders, fintech platforms, etc.) technology teams and leadership to identify and execute joint initiatives to drive Anchanto technology leadership and partnership.
• Identify IP creation opportunities and open source contribution opportunities. Work with senior leadership teams and in-house legal counsel to file IP to drive Anchanto value creation and technology brand building.
You are a good fit if:
• You can still code, design complex and high-performance SaaS platforms.
• You are a top hands-on performing technology leader with solid experience as VP Engineering / Engineering Director / Platform Architect or CTO.
• You have effectively managed multiple engineering teams, at least over 150 team members.
Must have:
• At least 15 years of relevant professional experience in the technology/software development domain.
• At least ten years experience as Software / Enterprise Architect or Engineering Manager in enterprise product companies
• Experience with building service-based architecture, including the use of micro services architecture.
• Experience in designing/developing SaaS products or platforms
• Hands-on experience in any technologies - Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, AWS, or Java.

• Non-hands-on / managers with no detailed connect with latest web with technology.
