Child and Youth Mental Health Community Clinician - Lower North Shore (St Leaonards) Temporary Full Time until 30-8-2026.
The LNS Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) provides a comprehensive range of assessments and interventions to children, young people and their families. This position is an opportunity to be a part of a team that is passionate and driven while simultaneously being provided with opportunities for skill building, attendance at training and the provision of high-level supervision. The position is full of variety and challenges while working within a supportive working environment.

Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2): $2,170.30 - $2,241.60
Clinical Psychologist: $2,093.71 - $2,551.93
Allied Health Professional (Level 3): $2,154.06 - $2,223.86

St Leonards in the RNS CHC
What you'll be doing
CYMHS Clinicians are required to manage a complex caseload with presentations from 0-17year old from a variety of psycho-social backgrounds. The evidenced based treatment modalities provided include client centred psychotherapies and family focused therapies such as Attachment Based Family Therapy, CBT and DBT. There is a requirement to conduct extensive networking with services such as the education department and local schools, the GP and other private, government and non-government services. The multi-disciplinary team approach provides a supportive environment given the demand and acuity of presentations.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing and registration with AHPRA or membership with AASW for Social Workers. Clinical Psychologists must have a minimum postgraduate Masters or higher in Clinical Psychology. For Social Work, experience as a Level 2 clinician. Occupational Therapist must have experience as a Level 2 clinician. Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 must have relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience.
Relevant clinical mental health experience in a community setting which includes working with children and/or adolescents and their families.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the assessment, formulation and treatment of infant, child and adolescent mental health problems and family relationship problems.
