Job Description
This is a full time permanent position, you will work 30-40 hours per week on the roster, with hourly rate $28.00 - $35.00, depends on your skills, qualification and work experience.
Candidates for this position must have at least 2 years’ relevant working experience in a commercial kitchen or a Diploma in cookery at level 5 or higher.
Our business operates 7 days a week, so please be aware that you may be required to work up to 10 pm on weekend shifts and public holidays.
Key Duties include:
planning and updating our menus
estimating food and labour costs for our restaurant
ordering food supplies regularly
monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
discussing food preparation issues with manager, kitchen, and waiting staff
demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
preparing and cooking food
explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
selecting and training kitchen staff when required
may freeze and preserve foods
We expect you to have:
At least 2 year work experience in commercial kitchen, or a Diploma in cookery at level 5 or higher
Flexibility to work on weekends, nights and public holidays
Drug free with a clean police record
