Job Summary:
The Corporate & Investment Banking Research & Analytics is an integrated specialist team covering Origination (Banking and Markets), Products (Securities Services and Treasury Services), Research and Data Analytics globally. We help global corporations, institutions and organizations of all sizes grow their businesses by providing cutting edge analytics and solutions. This group provides you an opportunity to collaborate and work in a high paced global environment and develop a wide range of technical (financial, analytical, quantitative, and coding) and interpersonal skills. Depending upon the function you are part of, you will be making an impact in providing solutions to our Corporate & Investment Banking clients.
Global Markets Group was set up in 2013 as an extension of the Firm's global markets teams around the world. Markets Group is a fast growing team covering multiple asset classes across geographies. The teams under this umbrella work closely with the trading, sales and structuring teams spread across various regions across the globe.
Job Responsibility:
J.P. Morgan is one of the leading providers of investable indices to its clients. Candidates would play a key role in
Ideating, implementing and improvising new Quantitative Investment Strategies which relates to intraday data
Create the infrastructure for using intraday data into Quantitative Investment Strategies
Analyzing the research reports from various sources and generating investment ideas around those outlooks
The candidate will need to work closely with trading and sales teams in London and/or New York and will need to be proactive to improve desk efficiencies, access and learn J. P. Morgan's highly sophisticated solutions.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Perform in-depth data analysis, using statistical (or machine learning techniques), to creatively develop investment strategies
Identify and explore trading signals which drive superior performance of investment strategies
Explore and develop systematic option trading strategies
Translate business needs into quantitative analyses and tools; communicate complex results to senior stakeholders in a clear and precise manner
Work independently and collaboratively to establish close partnerships with peers across the greater CIB organization
Lead and participate in ad-hoc projects as needed by senior management
Clearly document the code of the tools created; Publish and maintain clear user documentation
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience in Python programming specifically strong knowledge of statistical, analytical (or machine learning) libraries
Strong knowledge of derivative markets (Equities, FX, Rates, or Commodities) and good knowledge of probability theory, statistics would be an advantage.
Advanced user of MS Office suite, including Word and PowerPoint
Close attention to detail and ability to work to very high standards
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to present findings to a non-technical audience
