About Company - Our Client is a global networking company based in the USA that produces networking hardware for consumers, businesses, and service providers.
Location - Bangalore(vasanth Nagar)
Responsibilities:
o Perform System and Application Administration services such as:
o Jenkins, SVN Wandisco, GitHub Enterprise, Atlassian Applications and their related plugins, JFrog, Slack, GlassBox, Optimizely.
o System Administration of Linux and MAC servers
o Perform Administration of Atlassian’s Add-Ons such as JEMH. Exalate, Automation, Build In Script.
o Manage upgrades and releases of our CI applications and dependent systems such as GitHub, SVN Wandisco, Atlassian products and plug-ins and Jenkins.
o Manage GitHub Enterprise Replication and Back up servers
o Configure build servers running Windows, Linux, and MAC iOS for use with Jenkins.
o Manage DB (postgres and MYSQL) servers and Shared File Servers (NFS servers)
o Manage Multi nodes Applications
o Manage Linux Web servers such as NGINX, Apache.
o Manage and update SSL cert certificates for Atlassian Applications, GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, SVN.
o Setup configurations related to SSO and LDAP (Microsoft Active Directory and Ping ID) for various Engineering Tools
o Deploy, maintain and debug high load, real time web applications.
o Use Jenkins to build and maintain job definitions, pipelines, and plugin configuration files in version control: GIT and Subversion
Perform Support Related Activities such as:
o Monitor live services, such as JIRA, Fisheye/Crucible, Confluence, JFrog, GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, SVN and solve production issues quickly and efficiently
o Support a CI pipeline in all phases of the integration life cycle.
o Support the integration of Jenkins with Atlassian Application, GitHub Enterprise, Slack, and JFrog
o Run SQL’s Query’s on DB servers
Develop new and improve on existing processes:
o Work alongside a team of developers to design and develop build processes for continuous integration using Jenkin, JIRA, GiHub Enterprise/Subversion , JFrog, Fisheye/Crucible.
o Build and maintain the Jenkins automated build and deployment process for our core applications.
o Develop tooling for continuous improvement of the team’s productivity on GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins and Atlassian products: JIRA, Confluence, and Fisheye/Crucible.
o Develop automations using Groovy, Python, or additional scripting languages for JIRA and other Atlassian products
o Write hooks for Subversion/GIT pre-commit and post-commit processes using best practices
o Develop Advanced JIRA Workflow and configuring validations, triggers, post functions with workflow
o Write advanced JQL queries on JIRA
o Create JIRA boards, Dashboards and manage permissions, subscriptions.
o Migrate self-hosted Atlassian Applications, GitHub Enterprise to the Vendor Cloud with their existing configurations and custom set up
Requirements, Education/Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Software Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience in a similar role is required
o Admin experience with GitHub Enterprise and working knowledge of GIT and SVN, Atlassian Applications, Jfrog, Slack.
o Minimum of 5 years’ experience with administration of JIRA Server/Data Center and writing JQL filters
o Minimum of 5 years’ experience with System’s administration in a UNIX, Linux type environment
o Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Programming Languages: Java, Python and Groovy
o Experience in Solution Architecture with the ability to understand developer’s ideas, pain points and be able to translate them for use with our Engineering tools.
o Experience deploying complex applications with CHEF, Ansible and or Jenkins Pipeline is a plus
o Experience with Dockers is a plus
o Having a good understanding of REST API’s is a plus
o Strong communication skills having the ability to work effectively with developers, product managers and cross functional teams
