Job Title: Cinematographer (with Editing Skills)
Location: Chennai, India
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Cinematographer with 1–2 years of professional experience and strong editing skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing high-quality visuals that align with the project’s creative vision and will also contribute to post-production through editing. This dual skill set ensures seamless storytelling from shoot to screen.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate cameras and manage on-set cinematography, ensuring professional visual quality.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and creative teams to execute the desired look and feel.
• Select appropriate lighting, framing, and camera movements to enhance storytelling.
• Manage and maintain camera equipment, lenses, and gear.
• Capture both studio and on-location footage with efficiency and creativity.
• Edit raw footage into polished content using professional editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
• Assist in post-production workflows including color correction, sound syncing, and basic motion graphics if required.
• Stay updated with latest cinematography techniques, camera technologies, and editing trends.
Qualifications & Skills
• 1–2 years of experience as a Cinematographer, Camera Operator, or related role.
• Strong proficiency in editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of lighting, composition, and camera operation.
• Strong visual storytelling and creative eye.
• Knowledge of different camera systems (DSLRs, Cinema Cameras, etc.).
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet deadlines.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
• Experience in commercials, branded content, music videos, or short films.
• Knowledge of color grading, motion graphics, or sound design is a plus.
• A strong showreel/portfolio demonstrating both cinematography and editing work.
