About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Cinematographer to join our creative team at NxtWave. You’ll work closely with senior cinematographers and production leads to support all video shoots — from setting up cameras and lights to ensuring smooth shoot operations and data handling.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves being on set, learning the craft of cinematography, and wants to grow into a full-time DoP role in the future.
What You’ll Do
Camera & Lighting Setup: Help set up cameras, lenses, tripods, gimbals, lighting rigs, and monitors for each shoot.
Focus & Framing: Assist with focus pulling, framing, white balance, and exposure adjustments.
Gear Management: Track and maintain batteries, memory cards, filters, and accessories; ensure backups are ready.
Safety & Cable Management: Keep the shooting area safe and organized.
Footage Handling: Transfer footage safely, label folders correctly, and hand over data to the post-production team.
Location Preparation: Support shoot recce, on-location setup, and equipment transportation.
On-Set Support: Be ready for quick adjustments, resets, and smooth equipment handling during live shoots.
What We’re Looking For
3-6 years of experience assisting in video shoots, film sets, or branded content.
Familiarity with Sony, Canon, or Blackmagic camera systems and lighting gear like LED panels and softboxes.
Basic understanding of lighting, exposure, and camera settings.
Physically fit to handle and transport gear when needed.
Punctual, disciplined, and able to work well with a team.
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn cinematography.
