About the role
The City of Sydney, one of Australia’s premier Councils, has several exciting opportunities available in the City Rangers team. We believe our people are our success, strengthen our organisation and position us to lead, govern and serve our community enabling us to achieve all we plan for this spectacular city.

The City Rangers team is seeking mature-minded, customer-focused, and self-motivated individuals to promote fair and equitable parking across the City of Sydney. This includes patrolling roads, parks, and other public spaces where our community comes together.


As City Ranger you will be responsible for providing a high-quality customer service. Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

patrolling allocated sectors and beats; issuing penalty notices for breaches of the parking legislation and other legislation under which they are authorised to act;
assisting members of the public with their day to day enquiries as a representative of the City of Sydney;
performing all duties efficiently and effectively to achieve the City Ranger unit goals and objectives.

To be successful, you will hold a current NSW recognised Drivers Licence. You will also have customer service experience. Experience or knowledge of on-street parking or Local Government regulatory activities would be an advantage.


This role has the option of a an 18-day month.

The recommended applicant must complete a pre-employment health declaration, medical assessment, and criminal history check.
