RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Civil Associate Software Developer in Moon Township, PA.
Responsibilities:
• Civil Associate Software Developer will design, develop, and maintain software applications typically related to bridge engineering and analysis
• Work closely with a team of bridge engineers, senior software developers, technical managers, project managers, and clients to understand their software requirements and ensure that the software solutions meet their needs
• Optimize and improve existing software applications for performance, reliability, and user-friendliness
• Understand and interpret bridges codes so that they can be converted to solid engineering software solutions
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve software issues and ensure the software's accuracy and stability
• Create clear and comprehensive documentation for engineering software applications
• Provide support for existing software by communicating directly with users and clients via emails, phone calls, or presentations
• Growth responsibilities include staying apprised of the latest developments in bridge engineering, specifications, relevant technologies, and industry standards to incorporate the best practices into software solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited University
• Focus on bridges or structures
• Experience or coursework in any of the following areas: Finite Element Analysis; Structural analysis; Steel and/or concrete design; AASHTO bridge specifications; Object-oriented programming; Algorithms and data structures
• Requires an engineering background to ensure the analytical correctness of the software
• Requires the exploration of new ideas, make use of available technology in creative ways to solve existing problems, and work well in a team-oriented environment
• High motivation to produce high-quality, state-of-the-art software
• Excellent English-language, verbal, and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Desire to obtain a PE license in future
• EIT strongly preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
