SkillQuest Solutions are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Technician on behalf of our client, a construction company based in Holden Hill, South Australia, specialising in new-build residential and commercial developments.

Position – Civil Engineering Technician
Location – Holden Hill, South Australia 5088. This role requires working on projects across Greater Adelaide and surrounding regions.
Salary - $75,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation per annum, dependent on experience.

THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to assist in the planning, coordination and execution of construction projects, supporting engineering and site teams to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Assist in interpreting engineering drawings, plans and specifications to support construction activities.
· Provide technical support to site teams during construction, including monitoring progress and ensuring works align with project requirements.
· Conduct site inspections and gather data related to materials, construction methods and project conditions.
· Assist with the preparation of cost estimates, project schedules and resource planning documentation.
· Support the coordination of materials, equipment and subcontractors to maintain efficient project delivery.
· Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports ad records in line with company and regulatory requirements.
· Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards and relevant building codes.
· Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues during construction works.
· Liaise with engineers, contractors and site personal to support communication and workflow across projects.
· Ensure the adherence to workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices on site.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
· Relevant qualification, such as a Diploma in Civil Engineering or higher, in a related field (or agreed equivalent).
· Minimum of 3 years (preferably more) proven experience working as a Civil Engineering Technician.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and technical specifications.
· Knowledge of construction processes, materials and site practices, particularly within residential construction.
· Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
· Ability to work collaboratively with site teams, contractor’s and technical professionals.
· Good communication skills and ability to prepare basic technical reports and documentation.
· Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements in a construction environment.
· Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and project documentation tools.
· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
