Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
Location: Phoenix, AZ

Job Summary

The Civil Engineering Technician - Water will function in a project engineering technician capacity, supporting engineering and design teams in the development and modification of technical deliverables. Under general direction, this role applies foundational engineering principles and established design practices to produce moderately complex civil design solutions. The position supports water, wastewater, linear pipeline, and other water-related infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on site drainage, grading, and utility design using Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and modify site drainage, grading, and utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation.
• Support engineering and design teams by preparing technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables using CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling tools.
• pply knowledge of applicable standards, systems, document control procedures, departmental guides, and company policies and procedures.
• Review project requirements and determine appropriate formats and content for required deliverables.
• Proactively apply the company Quality Program to all deliverables, demonstrating attention to detail, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
• Review design inputs to ensure consistency and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• pply basic engineering principles and established design practices to develop moderately complex design concepts and deliverables.
• Perform design calculations, prepare detailed material quantities, estimates, and supporting records.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other technicians and engineering professionals to ensure quality and consistency.
• Review the deliverables of others and assist with maintaining schedules and defining work assignments as needed.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines to exchange project information necessary for design development.
• Support field activities when required and maintain an understanding of both internal and external client needs.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and processes relevant to water and civil infrastructure design.
Required Qualifications
• dvanced experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, including:
• Pipe and pressure networks
• Proposed grading surfaces
• Plan and profile development
• Strong familiarity with:
• Plan and profile drawings

• Grading and drainage design
• Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience in civil or water infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills
• utodesk Civil 3D (advanced proficiency required)

• Experience using CADD and other electronic applications required to perform technical assignments

Education
• Diploma or Certificate preferred
• ssociate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design-related technology preferred
