We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for Class 2 drivers at London Heathrow Airport's Cargo Terminals. We have 25 positions available, and newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply! Position: Airside DriverType: Temp to PermLocation: London Heathrow Airport – Cargo TerminalsPay Rates:
• Standard Pay + Shift Allowance: £15.31 per hour
• Overtime (Monday to Friday): £21.55 per hour
• Overtime (Saturday – Sunday): £28.74 per hour
• Bank Holidays: £28.74 per hour
• Basic Pay Rate: £14.37 per hour
Shift Patterns:
• Main Pattern: 4 on / 2 off (8.5 hours/day), mixture of early and late shifts – 25 roles
• Alternative Pattern: Wednesday to Sunday or Thursday to Monday (8.5 hours/day) until end of September, then 4 on / 2 off – 4 roles
Key Requirements:
• HGV2 / Cat C / Class 2 licence
• Airside driving experience (no qualification required)
• HGV qualification (newly qualified accepted)
• PCV Drivers (Buses or Minibuses) accepted (no valid licence required)
• Crane / Forklift / Straddle Carrier Operator experience (minimum 2 years)
• Previous experience in airfreight work (desired but not essential)
• Good level of fitness
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Good written and verbal communication
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
• Ability to work under pressure
• Adherence to and respect for Health and Safety regulations
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Safely operate vehicles and equipment airside in accordance with airport regulations
• Transport cargo and other materials between aircraft and designated areas
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any issues
• Maintain clear and effective communication with the team and supervisors
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment
