We are looking for a full time, experienced Class 4 Driver. Based in Cromwell, your day will consist of heading out to swap a truck with our Christchurch Driver in Tarras and then continue onto delivering our glass products in the Central Otago region.
The position and driving hours will generally not require you to stay away from home but with traffic, weather condition and roadworks, flexibility to work extra hours is key. The day normally starts at around 6.30am.
Responsibilities and Duties
To be considered for this role you will need to following:
Excellent customer service skills
Be well presented and have excellent communication skills
A solid driving track record - clean and current Class 4 license with a minimum of 2 years Class 4 driving experience
Our drivers play an integral part of our business as they are responsible for not only the delivery of our products, they also load and unload their trucks ensuring our product arrives on time and in excellent condition. As the nature of the role requires the handling (loading and unloading) of glass products (double glazed window units, toughened shower panels, toughened balustrades, etc), you will need to be physically fit. We do have mechanical lifting gear for the larger pieces.
You must also have a degree of flexibility in your hours of work and willing to work overtime (will vary depending on weather and road conditions).
