About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced driver to join our team based in Christchurch. This role involves transporting goods across various locations in a safe and timely manner, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Safely transport goods to designated locations following all local driving regulations.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and safety of items.
Verify delivery instructions and ensure accurate logging of deliveries.
Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle.
Communicate effectively with the logistics team to optimise route efficiency.
Perform routine vehicle checks and report maintenance or repair needs.
Qualifications and Skills
Possess a full New Zealand driving licence Class 5
Previous experience in a driving role, preferably with bulk cartage of aggregate, snow clearing & bulk liquid deliveries is an advantage but not essential.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Good geographical knowledge of Christchurch and surrounding areas.
Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks.
