Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand scaling from Kaitaia to Invercargill.
Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Class 5 driver to join our Palmerston North team.
This role will be responsible to assist with the timely safe handling of freight for the company to achieve their target delivery goals. You will need to demonstrate an ability to own and possess a superb customer focus, passion for new challenges, have a non-attributable accident-free driving record; be reliable and well-presented along with a focus on doing your job safely.
It's a great mix of Linehaul, customer deliveries, and collections in Class 5 and Class 4 configurations.
What you'll do
Load and unload freight safely.
Ensure freight is handled and scanned with zero damage.
Participate in all safety procedures.
Operate all vehicles in a safe manner.
Maintain, clean and tidy vehicles.
What you'll need
Customer-focussed attitude
Communication and teamwork skills
Full NZ Class 5 licence
Dangerous Goods licence
Truck/Trailer driving experience
Experience driving on New Zealand roads.
F Endorsement and OSH license
Ability to reverse a Truck and Trailer
Confidence and ability to safely disconnect and reconnect a trailer.
