The opportunity:
Positions available for experienced Truck & Trailer Drivers to support our Visy Freight Division team, across Metro and Long-haul routes. With Visy you're NOT just a driver. You are part of a team where your contributions are valued, and your career can grow.
Role Details:
Routes: linehaul runs across both the North and South Islands or Metro runs across Auckland.
Locations: Based out of Wiri Auckland.
Hours: Full-time permanent positions working minimum 40 hours per week with opportunities for overtime. please note if working our long-haul runs, you may be away for 1-2 nights at a time.
What you'll do:
Operate Single or B-Train combinations for timely and efficient freight pick-up and delivery.
Build strong relationships with our customers with friendly service.
Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.
Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.
Comply with all company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.
Adhere to all load restraint guidelines to ensure freight is securely transported.
What you will bring to the team:
A valid Clean Class 5 Licence and Dangerous goods licence.
A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience operating Class 5 single trailer and or B-Train trucks.
Experience with Curtain Siders, Truck & Trailer or Container Trailers is desirable.
Sound knowledge of the regional areas and South Island routes.
Excellent communication, time management skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
A comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue, and load restraint laws.
Pride in the presentation and maintenance of trucks and equipment.
