We currently have an opportunity for a Cleaner . Join our team and play a key role in delivering routine and reactive cleaning services to a consistently high standard across AMAS-managed facilities . Reporting to Cleaning Supervisor/ Team Leader , you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
Te Kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

Downer holds a long-term Asset Management and Services (AMAS) contract with the Auckland Transport . This Contract involves the proactive management and delivery of maintenance services at Auckland City’s central rail facilities.
What You’ll Do (key responsibilities)
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
Working both independently and as part of a team in operational railway environment.
Follow task instructions, schedules, and site procedures issued by the Cleaning Supervisor / Team Leader.
Flexibility, physical capability, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
Shift details across the three stations: We have full time and part time roles available.
Shift 1: 6:30am - 2:30pm
Shift 2: 2pm - 10pm
Shift 3: 10pm - 6:30am
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills (experience required)
Experience using commercial or industrial cleaning products and equipment preferred.

Experience working in public-facing or high-risk environments is desirable.

Experience interacting with customers or members of the public professionally.

Sound spoken, verbal and written English.

Understanding of workplace health and safety practices

Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and materials.

Ability to follow procedures and work instructions.

Training in the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment is an advantage, but not essential.
