Position Overview:

The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall tidiness in various areas of a facility or establishment. They perform a range of tasks to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for guests, residents, or employees. The Housekeeping Staff may work in hotels, resorts, hospitals, office buildings, residential complexes, or other similar settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform routine cleaning activities, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and wiping surfaces. Ensure all assigned areas are clean, organized, and free from dirt, stains, and debris. Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols.

Room Preparation:

Prepare guest rooms, offices, meeting rooms, or other designated areas for use. Make beds, change linens, replenish towels and amenities, and arrange furniture as necessary. Check and restock supplies such as toiletries, cleaning materials, and linens.

Waste Management:

Collect and dispose of trash, recyclables, and other waste materials. Empty and clean trash bins and replace liners as needed. Sort recyclable items and ensure proper disposal according to facility guidelines.

Maintenance and Repairs:

Report any maintenance or repair needs observed during cleaning activities, such as broken equipment, damaged furniture, or malfunctioning fixtures. Notify the appropriate department or supervisor to ensure timely resolution.

Safety and Security:

Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to property. Report any safety hazards or security concerns to the appropriate personnel. Follow established security procedures, including key control and access restrictions.

Customer Service:

Provide courteous and professional service to guests, residents, or employees. Respond to inquiries, requests, or complaints promptly and effectively. Assist with special requests, such as delivering extra supplies or arranging for additional services.

Team Collaboration:

Coordinate and communicate with other housekeeping staff members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks. Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance or front desk, to address guest needs or resolve issues.

Adherence to Standards:

Follow established cleaning standards, guidelines, and schedules provided by the facility. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent education is typically required.

Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not always necessary.

Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and cleaning agents is beneficial.

Attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Good physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

Strong time management and organizational skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Knowledge of basic safety and security practices.

Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
