The CASS Officer role sits within the United Kingdom (UK) Private Bank (PB) Operations team reporting to the Head of UK PB Operations. As the CASS Officer, you will support day-to-day operations of CASS compliance and works with the Client Assets Oversight Officer (CAOO) to oversee the operational effectiveness of Deutsche Bank UK Bank Limited systems and controls.

Your key responsibilities
Assist the Chief Operations Officer (COO), Client Asset Oversight Officer and Head of UK Private Bank Operation with the CASS Oversight Governance framework within the UK Private Bank
CASS policies and procedures, CASS risk and control framework, oversight of third-party providers. Daily oversight of custody and client money reconciliations. Oversight of the Client Asset Money Return (CMAR). Maintenance of the CASS Resolution Pack (RP)
Assist with Internal Audit and Compliance Testing & Assurance reviews. Assist with the annual external CASS audit. CASS incident and breach reporting, monitoring and resolution and CASS training
Governance reporting – assist with internal governance reporting such as Client Assets Oversight Council Operating Council, Board Risk and Audit Committee
Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) reporting - Assist the CAOO with the oversight of the FSCS reporting
Undertake projects and use knowledge of regulatory subject matter specific to the CASS sourcebook to ensure project deliveries are assessed for CASS impact and delivered solutions are compliant. Undertake any other CASS/FSCS/Operational tasks and projects as needed, to support Chief Operations Officer (COO), Client Asset Oversight Officer and Head of UK Private Bank Operations with the compliance of CASS and FSCS within the Bank
Your skills and experience
Previous experience within a CASS oversight function with a strong demonstration of operating and maintaining an effective CASS governance framework
Strong technical understanding of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) CASS rules specifically CASS 6,7,8 & 10
Strong experience working with external stakeholders, for example, third-party administrator, external auditors
Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with senior internal stakeholders
