The global focus on Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) is increasing and leading to new roles and opportunities within JP Morgan. The firm is establishing within Operations a market-leading function to help manage the client onboarding transformation whilst meeting regulatory risks involved in Onboarding clients.

Key Responsibilities:
The Client Onboarding Business Analytics & Reporting role is part of the IPB Business Enablement Team and will report to the Business Analytics and Transformation Manager. The role will provide reporting and data analytic services to the Client Ops organization. It will work closely with the wider team to support the delivery of a transformed client experience that is cost effective for the business.
Focus areas include owning BaU MIS provision and leading initiatives that enable more efficient and sustainable MIS provision to support Client Operations and bring insights that will enable the transformation journey.
Be responsible for all KYC-related Remediation, Data-related remediation and Delivery
Understand regulatory requirements and build the required reports with a strong control framework
Represent the region on various regional / global Data Forums e.g. Model, remediation, data controls / integrity , decisions on data model pertaining to Client Lifecycle management
Serve as the regional liaison for the Global teams in matters relating to data and associated controls ensuring procedure updates and relevant trainings and communications are delivered impacting business and/or process changes
Automate the regulatory and control reports using low-code/no-code tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, UiPath and Xceptor
Maintain a relevant and updated process knowledge within the Onboarding space to be able to effectively influence and drive effective remediation
Work with the project managers and subject matter experts within the team to ensure current status is understood and properly articulated
Work with data to design, develop analytics that can drive business decision, provide transparency and help drive data as a value proposition
Manage the processes and artifacts associated with new project initiation, remediation, scope change and closure.
Track and manage milestones and dependencies to ensure effective understanding and communication between core team and stakeholder community
Ensure projects are all rigorously governed and documented
Partner with key business stakeholders e.g. business and operational teams, Legal, Compliance, Business Management, Oversight & Control, Audit, Business Initiative Leaders, project teams and Technology on fulfilling responsibilities of the Client Onboarding team and implementing the business strategy
Actively engage in project requirement meetings influencing design and functional requirements through analysis providing thoughtful input to ensure business needs are met identifying and documenting project gaps, impacts, and risks
Develop process flows for strategic initiatives and assisting in the development of operating models
Research and document current state processes and apply appropriate changes to support business requests/needs and improve on effectiveness
Conduct GAP analysis identify key areas of risk or concern and impact to the business
Draft, review, and assist with communicating issues and action plans effectively through project implementation, and govern and track their progress through remediation and closure
Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and business partners with the purpose of informing interested parties on all key milestones, accomplishments, programs, activities and overall successes
Use knowledge in quantitative & qualitative research methods & technology to perform detailed data analysis and work through large volume of data to establish thematic views.
Critically review analysis results seeking opportunities to optimize output and provide actionable recommendations to senior management in order to achieve key business objectives

Qualifications:
What do we look for
Candidates with relevant degree or relevant work experience in similar role
BS/BA Degree - Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services/banking industry, with a demonstrated track record of delivery and relevant experience with data and data remediation required
A 'can do' attitude is a must with a passion for driving best practices
Familiarity with regulatory landscape across Asia
Demonstrate attention to details / high analytical skills - high quality / accuracy in work delivered
Advanced skills with the core MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) standard PM tools (e.g. MS Project).
Familiarity with Alteryx / Tableau / Qlik / Xceptor / Signavio / UiPath would be beneficial
Willingness to learn new technical skills / explore new tools
Multi-tasker who can manage multiple streams of work concurrently, prioritize effectively and act with a sense of urgency
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technological environment
Independent, organized, self-motivated and a team player
Ability to analyze and take decisions under tight timelines
Willingness to make decisions, while ensuring buy in from stakeholders
Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders to ensure decisions are well thought out and can be executed from an operations perspective
Proactive and responsive communicator, maintaining frequent contact with business partners, listening to understand needs, and taking ownership of incoming and outgoing messages
Capable of managing both BAU activities as well as strategic initiatives
Continuous improvement and change management mindset, questioning conventional ways of managing the business and driving change to improve processes
Analytical and review skills with the capacity to think laterally and convey an understanding of the big picture and draw the correct conclusions from reviews
Demonstrate leadership in running a program where the understanding of complex operational processes/products is required
Ability to communicate, present effectively and adapt messaging appropriate to the audience
Must be highly disciplined, a self-starter, and have the ability to execute on assignments independently
Small team leadership experience as Business Enablement Team India continues to expand in a high growth operating environment
