.ABOUT THE BRANCH
The Parliamentary Business Resources (PBR) Framework Branch in Ministerial and Parliamentary Services Division (MaPS), within Finance, provides advice and support services on a range of matters pertaining to Parliamentarians’ work expenses in accordance with federal legislation.
The PBR Branch consists of four teams:
Capital Works and Security
PBR Policy and Assurance
Property and State Office Support
PBR Governance
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Client Service Officer in the Property and State Office Support Team your duties may include but not limited to:
Communicating with current and former Parliamentarians and Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 (Commonwealth) employees on a range of services within the PBR Framework.
Researching, interpreting and providing accurate, timely advice in accordance with federal legislation and existing frameworks.
Using a range of systems to process payments of accounts pertaining to Parliamentarians’ work expenses and allowances.
Provide property and office facilities management services and assist with the effective operation of Commonwealth Parliament Offices (CPOs).
Work collaboratively with colleagues, internal and external stakeholder to deliver a seamless client experience.

ELIGIBILITY ADVICE & CANDIDATE NOTES
Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS) unless the Agency Head has agreed otherwise, in writing.
Successful applicants will be required to undergo the process to obtain and maintain, or continue to hold the required security clearance level for the role as indicated in the downloadable job pack. All Finance staff are required to have a minimum baseline security clearance prior to commencement.
This role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing. Roles may be offered as either ongoing or non-ongoing subject to operational requirements. Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for a specified term of up to 12 months. Specified term vacancies may be extended up to a maximum period of 18 months.
