Job Summary
As an advertising account executive, you'll work within an advertising or multi-service agency, acting as a link between the agency and its clients. You'll be responsible for the coordination of advertising campaigns and therefore communicating clearly to all those involved. You may also be known as an account handler.
It is vital to understand the needs of your clients, which you'll learn through liaising closely with them throughout campaigns, often on a daily basis. You'll also manage administrative and campaign work to ensure that advertising projects are completed on time and on budget.
Responsibilities and Duties
Research client's products, services, plans, competitors and target markets
Meet clients for briefings and present proposals to clients for approval
Brief agency colleagues, and work with them to plan and implement the best advertising solutions for the client
Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Long hours are common, and advertising staff are expected to work flexibly to meet project deadlines.
Advertising account executives are office-based. They travel some times for meetings, and may be expected to socialise with clients.
Meeting clients to discuss strategy and report on progress to senior management.
Responding to client's requests as they arise and are in the scope of client's contract..
Taking part in pitching for new contracts
Quick to absorb and analyse large amounts of information
Enthusiastic, energetic and imaginative
Approachable, outgoing and diplomatic
A clear communicator, in person and writing
Excellent English communication all additional languages are a plus
Able to present ideas with conviction
Highly organised and flexible
Should proof read and check content before work is sent to client
Good with figures
IT literate
Comfortable working as part of a team
Motivating other team members

Should be able to reduce rework by manually checking work.
