The Setup. For nearly 50 years, Skurla’s has been the POS (Point of Sale) engine behind Alaska’s local economy. We provide the total POS experience- hardware, the software, and the payment processing that keeps the lights on at your favorite local diner, the lines moving at the corner retail shop, and the taps flowing at the neighborhood brewery.

The Problem. National tech companies ship a box to Alaska, email a PDF, and call it "service." When a Friday night rush hits and a system goes down, a 1-800 number in another time zone isn't enough.

We need a Client Success & Growth Manager.

Let's be crystal clear about what this job is not. You are not an IT tech. You are not a dispatcher. You are not the call center rep fielding password resets from a frontline cashier. You are the VIP concierge and the big-picture strategist for local business owners.

Your Day-to-Day:

· The Defense (The Guardian & The Fixer): 20% of our customers drive 80% of our revenue. Your primary mission is to build an absolute fortress around that top 20%.

o Our main support line handles day-to-day glitches. But when a major issue sets a VIP customer off, you are the one they reach for.

o You don't fix the code yourself, but you take absolute ownership of the ball. You rattle the cages internally to make sure our tech team gets it done. You manage the timeline, handle the follow ups, and you personally deliver the good news when the fire is out.

· The Offense (The Builder): You use the deep trust earned from being in the trenches with these owners to grow the business.

o You spot the restaurant ready to upgrade to new techs or features. You guide clients through what works, what doesn’t, new systems, 3-year contract renewals, etc.

o You leverage our happiest customers to secure introductions to the new shop opening down the street, and in turn use your “trusted advisor” skill to bring them on a new customer.

· An Empathetic Listener: When a business owner is stressed, you don’t panic or give them a slick sales pitch. You listen actively, understand their frustration, and provide a calming reassurance that you and the Skurla's team are going to help them fix it.

· A Genuine Communicator: You know Anchorage, and you sincerely enjoy connecting with local people. You can comfortably shift from shooting a quick, friendly text to a busy bar manager, to having a professional sit-down coffee with a retail owner. You meet people where they are and how they want.

· Organized & Reliable: You take pride in being the person who actually follows through. If you tell a customer you will check back in on Tuesday, you do it. You don't need to be an IT expert, but you need to be organized enough to track an issue from start to finish without dropping the ball.

The Compensation Structure: The "Sprint to Success"

Base Salary: $45,000 / year.

The Residual Engine (Uncapped): Your bonus structure is tied directly to real revenue. You earn a cut of the ongoing credit card processing residuals for any new business you generate. To be crystal clear, this percentage is based only on our net profit from their credit card processing, paid out monthly.

The Nitty-Gritty

Base Pay: $45,000/year base + Uncapped Residuals & Commission.
Schedule: Full-time (~40 hours/week) with occasional overtime when a VIP needs us.
Location: Anchorage, AK. This is an in-office and in-the-field role (not remote). We offer common-sense flexibility when life happens, and the demands of the position, but we work together as a team in the trenches.
Travel: Occasional travel required to meet clients (including future rural Alaska trips).
