EKCO Hand Therapy is Queensland’s largest hand and upper limb rehabilitation organization, and we pride ourselves on being a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional care. Our skilled team of 46 hand therapists and 15 administrative staff work across 13 clinics in the greater Brisbane area, providing state-of-the-art treatment programs and innovative rehabilitation techniques. We work closely with leading hand and upper limb surgeons and collaborate in joint clinics on a weekly basis. Our diverse caseload includes elite athletes, multi-trauma cases, and the conservative management of tendinopathies and degenerative conditions.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Clinic Administration Officer to join our EKCO Hand Therapy team on a Full-Time basis (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday). This role is based at our Brisbane CBD clinic, although we would appreciate a candidate who is willing to cover other Brisbane clinic locations on occasion. This is a great opportunity to become an integral part of a dynamic team and contribute to the smooth operation of our clinic, ensuring a positive experience for both patients and staff. As flexibility is a key part of our commitment to our employees, we will consider part-time or job-share applicants for this role. University students are also welcome to apply!
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a key member of our administrative team, you will report directly to the Practice Manager and play a crucial role in managing a range of tasks to ensure the clinic operates efficiently. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Reception and general administration duties
Managing patient bookings and appointments
Processing results and ensuring accurate documentation
Administering health questionnaires to patients
Data input and record keeping
Invoicing and managing billing processes
Handling general customer inquiries with professionalism and care
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, we’re looking for a candidate who is well-organised, detail-oriented, and has excellent customer service and communication skills. Ideally, you will bring the following:
A strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing top-quality service to both staff and patients
Previous experience in a medical/clinical setting or as a receptionist is preferred but not essential – full training will be provided
Familiarity with Best Practice software would be a bonus, but not required – we will train you on the system if needed
Ability to handle a variety of administrative tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
A friendly, approachable manner and the ability to work well within a collaborative team environment
