About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Coordinator to join the Te Waipounamu Regional team. The Rheumatic Fever (RF) Clinical Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving system-level improvements and ensuring consistent, evidence-based care for Rheumatic Fever across the South Island.

The role leads regional clinical collaboration to ensure alignment with current national and regional guidelines, fosters continuous quality improvement in care pathways, and supports clinicians in delivering best-practice management through targeted education and training initiatives. By overseeing and optimising the RF register, the Clinical Coordinator strengthens data quality, reporting, and system visibility to inform service planning and evaluation.

About you

You're passionate about improving health inequities and women's health, with excellent customer service and communication skills. You bring cultural awareness, uphold the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi, and have experience working with whānau and communities. Flexible and innovative, you collaborate effectively with Māori and Pacific communities, primary care staff, and stakeholders in a whānau-centric way. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and organisational abilities round out your profile:

Registered Nurse – current NZNC Practicing Certificate.
5+ years post graduate relevant nursing experience.
Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.
Vaccinators Certificate (Adult and Child).
Completion of, or personal commitment to undertake, cultural competency training.
CPR Certificate – Level 4.
Understands Principals of Public Health and the Ottawa Charter.
Proficient in desktop applications such as Microsoft Suite.
Experience with office management procedures.
Previous experience within a Primary Practice setting and / or with health promotion / education activities.
Current driver's license, no restrictions / clear record
