Hickby Clinical Training is a newly formed, innovative training provider on a mission to improve patient care through high-quality, hands-on clinical education. We’re building a team of like-minded educators who are committed to safe, inclusive, and evidence-based learning.
We are seeking NMC-registered nurses to join our bank of Clinical Education Specialists. In this flexible, field-based role, you’ll deliver impactful training to healthcare professionals in both face-to-face and virtual formats. You’ll support learners across various care settings, sharing your expertise to build confidence and improve practice.
This role is ideal for experienced nurses who value reflection, collaboration, and the opportunity to shape a growing organisation.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, learner-centred clinical training both in person and virtually.
Teach topics aligned with your clinical experience.
Use inclusive teaching techniques that support different learning styles.
Maintain high standards of professionalism, safeguarding, and learner support.
Contribute to training resource development and ensure content remains evidence-based and up to date.
Liaise with the Hickby team to coordinate sessions and uphold a consistent standard of delivery.
Promote reflective practice, professional confidence, and safe clinical care in line with NMC values.
Experience
We're looking for nurses with strong clinical backgrounds and a passion for education. We welcome nurses with strong clinical backgrounds who are confident sharing their knowledge and committed to supporting others through education.
Essential:
Valid NMC registration and UK driving licence.
Recent, relevant clinical experience within your area of expertise
Experience delivering training, mentoring, or supporting learners in practice
Confident using Microsoft PowerPoint, Teams, and other basic digital tools
Ability to communicate clearly and adapt your style to suit different audiences
Flexibility to work on an ad-hoc basis, with availability for both face-to-face and virtual training sessions as needed.
Desirable:
Experience developing or reviewing training resources
Previous experience delivering virtual or in-person teaching sessions
Involvement in curriculum design, supervision, or clinical education initiatives
