Role Title: Clinical Information Specialist

Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $129,464 - $142,665 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week, work location- 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards

What you'll be doing

Providing expert advice to data providers and analysts on clinical information reporting requirements including coding, classification, casemix and related matters.

Play an important role in identifying and implementing strategies to improve the quality of clinical information across all data collections.

Involvement with statewide computer assisted coding initiatives

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

About you

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

A thorough knowledge and experience of working with ICD-10-AM

Providing leadership in clinical classification and representing NSW Health on local and national committees

The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Explain how you would manage a situation where a data researcher required your expert advice on how to identify a certain cohort of patients (e.g., what ICD-10-AM codes should they use to research an infectious condition that had been identified as being endemic that season)
