Permanent full-time role – 76 hours per fortnight

About the role

Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse, to join our Cath Lab team on a full-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 339-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

As a Clinical Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based, person centred

Demonstrate professional practice as evidence by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope's polices and processes

Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development and maintaining own professional learning and continuous professional development and providing supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates and students

Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices

Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum

Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes

Essential Criteria:

Current AHPRA registration

3+ years’ experience within an acute environment

Senior clinical nursing experience

1-year minimum team leader or in-charge nursing experience (desirable)

Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment

Excellent communication skills

Passion for teaching, educating and up-skilling staff in cardiac operating theatres
