Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager in Training (Florida PACE Centers)
Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse Manager in Training will undergo 12 months of training in all aspects of nursing management of Program of the All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), to include management of Medical Clinic, short- and long-term planning to manage nursing services, resource management, documentation, regulatory and compliance requirements, quality assurance and systems utilization.
Essential Job Functions
Assumes nursing leadership, on an as needed basis, for assigned PACE sites.
Assign and delegate tasks based on priority to team members.
Supervises patient care delivery and staff assignments and ensures that care is consistent with patient care requirements.
Participates and engages in interdisciplinary team meetings.
Ensures patient care delivery is coordinated with the interdisciplinary team.
Participates in the selection and training of nursing staff.
Participates in program quality projects including identifying the need for new services and innovative ways to provide care, improving efficiency and effectiveness, and responding to participant and community needs.
Ensures that all local, State, Federal standards, survey preparation and compliance are met for areas of responsibility.
Engages in training opportunities and successfully completes them.
Ensure understanding of policies and standard operating procedures necessary for job function.
Leads special projects as assigned.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing, Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
Experience:
Three years of progressive experience in clinical positions
Licenses/Certifications:
Current RN license by the Florida State Board of Nursing
Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association required
ACLS preferred
ANCC or specialty certification preferred
Abilities Required
Skills in clinical decision-making, communication, budgeting, program development, human relations, and quality assurance
Ability to interpret regulatory standards and compliance requirements
Ability to use communication, problem-solving, and clinical management skills to influence staff utilization and motivation, public relations, and inter-and -intra departmental relations
Demonstrates a caring attitude toward Florida PACE participants, family members, employees, and other facility guests
Functional Demands

Infectious Material Exposure:
