Nepean Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Grade 2 to join our Centralised Infusion Centre. This role provides an opportunity to deliver advanced clinical care while contributing to service development, education, and leadership within a specialised ambulatory care environment.


The Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible for the co-ordination of the Centralised Infusion Service providing the administration of short-term infusions to outpatients, including but not limited to blood products, immunoglobulins, monoclonal antibodies, iron infusions, and Methylprednisolone and the associated monitoring to ensure patient safety. This role provides opportunities to influence practice, service delivery, and patient outcomes whilst working with a supportive multidisciplinary team.

What you will bring to the role

Current registration with AHPRA - Division 1 Registered Nurse including post-registration qualifications in relevant speciality field with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience working in the relevant specialty or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
Ability to champion, educate and lead a multidisciplinary team to improve patients' outcomes as part of a team.
Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities according to best practice.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, carers and a diverse range of health care providers.
Demonstrated commitment to clinical practice development.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision maintaining involvement within the wider multidisciplinary team.
