We are seeking an experienced Orthotist who has the skills and motivation to help support the ongoing development and improvement of our orthotic service in Auckland, ultimately improving health outcomes for our patients.

The Orthotist will connect with our team of prosthetist/orthotists, medical specialists, technicians and allied health professionals, and have an integral role in providing a world class service to our patients. More specifically, the Clinical Orthotist will:

Provide your patients with a world class service where the patient is at the heart of everything we do.
Form and maintain good working relationships with your patients; providing them with high quality information which supports choice, informed consent and optimal outcomes
Consult and undertake assessments with your patients to clearly understand their individual goals and aspirations and how they relate to their rehabilitation and lifestyle needs
Actively participate in patient clinics and multidisciplinary team meetings to share knowledge and innovation and appropriately prescribe and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices and contribute to your patient’s rehabilitation plan
Champion your patients’ maximum orthotic usage by proactively modifying, adjusting and repairing their device a
Ensure clinical service decisions, (including prescriptions) are supported by appropriate and timely clinical notes, evidence-based assessment tools, applications and plans which are all clearly documented in Maanaki
Own and record your professional development; regularly and proactively improve your knowledge of current orthotic technology and innovations


The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills along with strong knowledge of a range of orthotic devices and their application. You will be accustomed to using evidence based decision making, seeking input from colleagues and taking opportunities to grow your professional development.
