About the Position:
Providing Autism and ADHD diagnostic assessments and reports.
Provide individual therapy to children, teens and their families who are experiencing a variety of neurodevelopmental disorders, learning disorders, mental health presentations including trauma, anxiety, behavioural and mood disorders.
Work with the neurodivergent community, Autistic adults/teens/kids or ADHD adults, teens, kids; and/or other neurodivergent people, such as those with learning differences or intellectual disability.
Delivering mental health treatment to adults, teens or kids.
An understanding of NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) is beneficial, but not necessary.
Great communication skills and time-management skills to communicate with all stakeholders, and to manage a varied caseload.
A family and client-centred neuro-affirming approach, with a passion for achieving positive and lasting outcomes for clients.
Essential criteria:
Tertiary qualifications in psychology
Registration with AHPRA
Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
Professional Indemnity Insurance
Additional training in the assessment, diagnostics and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD, ADHD).
Ability to work with children, adolescents and adults
Ability to work exceptionally well independently & in a team
Demonstrated expertise in neuro-affirming and strengths-based approaches to therapy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Dedication to delivering high quality evidence-based services & commitment to ongoing PD
