Tū Māia Regional Youth Forensics is seeking passionate and experienced Clinical Psychologists to join our specialist service.

Are you a dedicated mental health professional with a heart for young people?

Do you have a minimum of 2 years' experience working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and a desire to make a real impact?

Tū Māia Youth Forensic Service is a leading provider of specialised mental health services for young people involved in the justice system. The Youth Forensic Service is dedicated to supporting the holistic well-being and rehabilitation of at-risk youth through evidence-based interventions and comprehensive mental health care.

Tū Māia Regional Youth Forensics provides specialist assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services for young people involved in the youth justice system. We offer a supportive and collaborative environment where you'll work alongside a team of experienced Forensic psychologists, psychiatrists, and Allied Health professionals.

Ka aha Koe | What you'll do:

Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including risk assessments for self-harm, harm to others, and vulnerability.
Develop and implement individualised treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy, and behavioural strategies.
Prepare forensic reports, clearly communicating complex psychological concepts to legal professionals.
Build strong therapeutic relationships with young people, taking into account their developmental stage, cultural background, and individual experiences.
Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, nurse’s occupational therapists, psychologists, lawyers, and law enforcement officers
Work collaboratively with other professionals within the youth justice system.
Contribute to the ongoing development of our specialist service.

You will be a Registered Clinical Psychologist with a minimum of 2 years' experience in child and adolescent mental health service.
You will have a strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
You will be experienced in conducting assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will be a team player with a commitment to collaboration.
