Job Summary

The Team

The Community Gaming Grants program distributes $135 million in provincial gaming revenue to eligible community organizations throughout the province to deliver programs and services that benefit British Columbians. Program staff ensures that all communication, processes, recommendations, and decisions are consistent with legislation and policy, enforceable and efficient. The branch offers three streams of grant funding and support services to ensure fair access to resources and promote resilience within the not-for-profit sector. Our ongoing efforts include the development of a modernized online application system to streamline the application process and improve accessibility for all applicants.

The Role

The Program & Intake Assistant, plays a key role in supporting not-for-profit organizations across British Columbia by facilitating their applications for community gaming grants. Your responsibilities include receiving, reviewing, and validating incoming submissions, clarifying case information with clients, and responding to email inquiries. This position is an excellent entry-level opportunity to gain insight into the operations of the Provincial Government and the Community Gaming Grants (CGG) branch. Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Grade 12 graduation or equivalent.

Experience/training in keyboarding, word processing and standard computer applications (ie. MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and databases).

Experience providing client service including providing information in response to inquiries.

Experience applying regulations and guidelines in an office environment.

Experience managing a high-volume caseload.

Experience typing, formatting, and proofreading a variety of documents and materials.
