As one of the largest providers of corporate trust services globally, U.S. Bank's Global Corporate Trust Services operates through 48 domestic offices and three international locations, delivering a variety of services to a diverse client base. The Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO) and Global Structured Finance (GSF) groups specialize in structured finance vehicles that issue debt and equity backed by various securities.
The CLO Reporting Analyst will play a vital role by managing trust reporting, collateral data reconciliation, compliance testing, and investor reporting. This position demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex transactions in a fast-paced environment, providing exposure to both CLO and CDO products.
Key Responsibilities
• Interpret and apply trust indentures and legal documents for reporting and compliance.
• Translate indenture language into technical report specifications and cash flow logic.
• Set up and maintain payment calculations and reporting within proprietary systems.
• Receive, map, reconcile, and validate periodic collateral and asset activity data.
• Conduct portfolio compliance and trade testing on structured fixed-income deals as needed.
• Compile and deliver investor, payment, and tax reports monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Handle tax elections, apply for EINs, and manage residual holder transfers when applicable.
• Collaborate with internal operations teams for accurate cash flow distribution.
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure report accuracy and timeliness.
• Engage with clients, asset managers, and auditors, ensuring clear communication.
• Liaise with third-party administrators and internal administration teams managing cash accounts.
• Provide prompt and accurate data and reporting to clients and external auditors.
Daily Activities
• Generate daily, monthly, and quarterly reports.
• Reconcile data from various sources and resolve discrepancies.
• Distribute reporting outputs and data packages to clients.
• Manage approximately 10 active deals at a time.
• Communicate with teams, clients, and auditors through various channels.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Less than two years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Basic understanding of syndicated bank loans, fixed income securities, and securitization.
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and discrepancy identification.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel with intermediate skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP).
• Familiarity with CDO or structured finance systems is advantageous but not essential.
Location Details
This role offers a hybrid work schedule requiring 3 or more days in the office at our Houston, TX location, with flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days.
