WOMENSWEAR DESIGNER
Supporting the womenswear design team, you'll create designs across all product ranges from clothing to swimwear and liaising with the production team to ensure expectations for the final product are met.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the design team in creating new ideas and sketches across all product ranges using CAD software via Adobe Illustrator.
• Create detailed designs, technical drawings, and computer-aided designs (CADs).
• Continuously identify key trends, source fabrics, colors, and shapes relevant to the brand.
• Develop mood boards representing the direction of collections and stay reactive to new trends.
• Research innovative commercial ideas aligned with brand strategy through various sources, including social media, attending research trips, and trade shows.
• Design highly detailed new prints, prepare them for production, and create workbooks for factories.
• Manage factory samples, update schedules, and direct print design progress efficiently.
• Participate in design meetings, present ideas, and collaborate with Marketing and Mens Design Teams.
Requirements:
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, CAD, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Ability to work at pace, manage multiple tasks, and make strong creative decisions.
• Strong understanding of the design process and ability to translate trends into commercial graphic and print designs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations.
• Good understanding of the Jaded London brand and customer needs.
