Role
As a Cloud Architect at Quidich, you will embark on an exciting journey in the world of sports technology and play a vital role in assisting the technology team to work on global projects. We are looking for a talented Cloud Architect with a strong background in AWS to join our team. As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions using AWS services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, develop cloud architecture, and provide guidance and support throughout the project lifestyle.
Responsibilities
Designing and developing cloud architectures: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and secure cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
Designing high availability, fault-tolerant, and cost-efficient architectures to meet business objectives.
Implementing and deploying AWS infrastructure: Build, configure, and deploy AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
Ensuring proper provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of resources.
Ensuring security and compliance: Implement security best practices and standards to protect cloud infrastructure and data.
Performing security audits, and vulnerability assessments, and recommending remediation actions.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Optimizing performance and cost: Identify opportunities to optimize cloud infrastructure performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Monitoring resource utilization, identify bottlenecks, and suggest improvements.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues: Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and service interruptions.
Conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures to minimize future incidents.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Work closely with software development, operations, and infrastructure teams to provide guidance and support during the entire project lifecycle.
Collaborating with DevOps teams to automate deployment processes and implement CI/CD pipelines.
Staying up-to-date with AWS services: Continuously learn and stay abreast of the latest AWS services, features, and best practices.
Evaluating new technologies and tools to improve cloud infrastructure and enhance operational efficiency.
Documentation and knowledge sharing: Document cloud architecture designs, configurations, and procedures.
Creating technical documentation and sharing knowledge with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
2 to 5 years of proven work experience in AWS, Cloud Architecture, and Infrastructure.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Extensive experience working as a Cloud Architect, specifically with a focus on AWS.
Experience with building solution architecture on AWS.
Working knowledge of AWS and the services offered by AWS. Proven experience with cost and service optimization on AWS.
Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
Experience designing and implementing scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud architectures on AWS.
In-depth understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, routing, and load balancing.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, are a plus.
