About this Team:
Dev Cloud team is responsible for designing, building and maintaining development infrastructure for the FIS Development teams who use public cloud environment in Azure/AWS/GCP. The team primarily focus on enabling automated build mechanism for Public Cloud Infrastructure.
What you will be doing:
A cloud architect develops and coordinates cloud architecture across diverse areas including application infrastructure development, identity and access management, network and data management. They often work in coordination with other departments to implement all architecture changes, which requires them to have a good rapport with other architects and support them in their respective fields.
Cloud Architect is solely responsible for the onboarding of projects in Public cloud using Infrastructure as a Code mechanism – Devops Toolset will be used ( Packer, Terraform, Ansible, Scripting – powershell and bash)
It is the architect’s responsibility to support the adoption of public cloud technology and work towards the ease of use of cloud technologies. The professional develops new usage patterns, plays an active role in the everyday use of cloud services
Cloud architects should identify any comprehensive risks and develop a risk-mitigation mapping matrix to avoid them. They are also responsible for working in coordination with the IT security and risk departments.
Cloud architect will also develop a methodology to automate cloud services and ensure that any errors will not impact the speed and agility of cloud benefits.
Cloud Architect is overall in charge of Planning, Strategizing, providing recommendations to the Line of businesses for their development environment hosted in the Public Cloud
What you bring:
This level requires the ability to communicate with all levels of Management. Typically requiring a minimum of 10 to 12 years IT service experience
Proven work experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role
Architecture Experience in atleast two of the Public Cloud Platform is a must – Azure/AWS/GCP
Good expertise in Terraform, Ansible and scripting
Must be a quick learner for anything new that comes up in the Public Cloud domain
Excellent knowledge of Public cloud technologies and current computing trends
Knowledge of Operating System - The candidates must have a good understanding of operating systems, such as Linux and Windows. It is essential to be familiar with the concepts, pros, and cons of the various operating systems.
Good Understanding of Networking - Having proper knowledge of TCP/IP, IP addresses, HTTP, and DNS
Security - solid knowledge of vital security concepts, firewall, and other security components.
Ability to demonstrate effective verbal communications in meetings, one-on-one situations, and group situations
