Roles and Responsibilities:
Implementing services in Java and/or Golang
Designing and building data storage and retrieval solutions using NoSQL
Building and operating distributed systems that communicate over message busses (ie Kafka)
Design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable backend services and infrastructure for cloud-based applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, system administrators, and DevOps engineers, to define and implement APIs, data models, and integration points.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using appropriate programming languages and frameworks, such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
Implement security best practices to ensure data privacy and protection in cloud environments.
Optimize backend services for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness in cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backend systems, including performance bottlenecks, scalability limitations, and infrastructure failures.

REST API Design, Development, and Security
Microservice Design Patterns
Modern CI/CD systems and code flow
Infrastructure as Code

Nice to have skills: a. SQL b. Snowflake c. Mongo d. JWT e. Apigee f. Cilium g. Terraform h. Operability (Monitoring/Alerting/Runbooks)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
