POSITION SUMMARY
This position is for a Cloud Data Platform Engineer who will focus on developing the Naviga Customer Data Platform on AWS
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Operation Skills
Design and develop Engineering solutions to aggregate and automate large scale data flows from varying sources
Build ETLs from internal and external sources to provide insights into the business
Writing and tuning complex Data Pipelines, workflows, and data structures
Help continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying operational support for stakeholders
Create and maintain workflow/technical documents for all the development activities
Experience in communicating with business stakeholders as well as with colleagues
Technical Skills/Experience:
Experience in industry big data platform stack like Databricks, Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, AWS DMS, AWS Fargate etc.
Must have skills Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Python, Glue, functional programming,
Deliver right solution architecture, automation and technology choices starting from experimentation and proof of concept phases of new analytical models
Ability to design logical and physical data models, big data storage architecture, data modelling methodologies, metadata management AWS Serverless native services
Strong experience on Data warehouse technologies, ETL, SQL Server
Prior experience on building CDP will be plus
Soft Skills:
Self-Learner: self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language.
Good written and oral communication skills; good interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Educational Background/ Other Requirements
University degree in the field of computer science
7-10 years relevant work experience.
