What you’ll do
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Development Architect to join a new engineering team being setup in Bangalore office.
Expectation and Tasks
Design high-quality product components in alignment with Product Architect to be then implemented by Scrum Teams. Proactively identify product gaps and address them
Define automation framework and drive automation and standardization.
Work with the Product success and other engineering organizations to supplement the product roadmap to bring customers an intuitive guided experience for implementing, testing, and deploying their ISBN solutions.
Facilitate reporting on product telemetry & usage data to measure solution effectiveness and further improve the experience throughout the solution's lifecycle.
Mentor developers on software design, coding practices, and TDD strategies and form a holistic mentoring
Leverage intelligent technologies to provide recommended customer journey, features, and solutions as their product adoption & SAP footprint grows.
Work with the team to break-down, estimate, and coordinate development work.
Ensure excellent quality and maintain high standards in all processes listed in the relevant process map.
Understand and improve current effort and cost structure of system/tenant operations (TCO).
Learn new technologies and work efficiently in a scrum/agile development team.
Demonstrate curiosity and innovation to enable future solutions in this space
Contribute to development with the team members and in code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions
Be in charge for driving technology and engineering best practices in the teams and promote their adoption
Responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, automation, quality assurance of specific (complex) product features in a development team.
Work with all development process contributors, e.g., Product Owners, Product Managers, Architects, Project Management, Scrum Masters, Developers, User Assistance Developer and DevOps to establish and execute a flawless development process.
What you bring
15+ years of experience in building software products / service with a preference for experience with SaaS applications
Development
Automation experience with at least one configuration/deployment management system such as Terraform, Chef, AWS Cloud Formation
Working with Python language for automation and working with GitHub, CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Chef, Spinnaker, Mesos
Contribution to open source community, publishing technical papers, and filling patents will be an advantage
Experience on cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure).
SAP Products: SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, and/or SAP Concur, SAP Cloud Application Lifecycle Management, SAP Signavio, SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Cloud Integration Automation Service, and various other systems based on the direction of SAP’s Technology Guidelines (such as Central Business Configuration or CBC)
Building applications on CF, SCP/BTP
Expertise in Java, Spring boot, java script, UI5, Fiori.
Exposure to ODATA, CAP, CDS framework, microservice architecture, multi target application
Expertise in developing cloud & SaaS applications.
Process
Experience in agile development practices (SCRUM) test-driven development as well as domain-driven development is required.
DevOps
Support CI/CD tools integration/ operations/ change management, and maintenance.
Support full automation of CI/ Testing.
Expertise with build automation tools, especially Jenkins
Apply policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance.
On-board/ train and support developers from source control, through build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, deployment based on tools usage and policies, standards.
Enable DevOps by moving code from Dev/ Test to Staging and Production. Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline
Background with ERP and / or ISBN solutions
Experience with SAP Cloud ALM and Signavio
Know How of AI/ML
Worked in the global teams with high levels of collaboration.
Experience in cloud applications development will be an advantage.
